The fully hydraulic HRE ramming machine is built upon a robust tracked undercarriage featuring a live ring and durable rubber tracks. It is powered by a highly dependable Hatz two- or three-cylinder diesel engine, a powerhouse proven across countless construction environments. Designed with exceptional stability in mind, the HRE goes beyond standard ramming to offer highly efficient post extraction and shell drilling capabilities. Using a specialized modification kit—comprising two drawbars, a ram block, and a clamping tongs retainer—the unit can be converted for extraction in approximately 15 minutes. Once modified, a single operator can quickly and safely extract posts without the assistance of an external truck crane. With a generous working reach of 1.9 meters from the front track edge to the hammer center and a usable mast height of 3.2 to 4.2 meters, the HRE effortlessly handles even the largest posts.
Engineered for maximum operational efficiency, the HRE features an innovative chain pressure mount that applies a continuous, preset downward force on the post. This allows the machine to achieve significantly shorter ramming times despite utilizing a lighter hammer weight. To guarantee precision and uniformity across the job site, the system is equipped with an automatic electronic cutoff that instantly halts both the rammer and the chain feed once the exact target depth is reached. For added versatility, the machine can be rapidly transformed into a fully capable drilling truck by equipping an optimal turn drive unit and downhole hammer, ideal for drilling shells at crossings or preparing difficult terrain.
Long-term reliability and ease of maintenance are central to the HRE’s design. All mobile components, such as the slide chariot and feed pipe, utilize replaceable and adjustable bronze slide rails to ensure lasting durability. The hydraulic system relies on heavy-duty, “Made in Germany” valves specifically engineered for the rigors of construction machinery. Electrically, the unit features a spacious switch cabinet that securely houses all fuses and relays, with ample reserve capacity to connect additional auxiliary equipment. To keep downtime to an absolute minimum, the HRE is assembled using only premium-grade hoses and fittings; should a hose ever require replacement, its standardized, high-quality design ensures it can be immediately procured from any local hydraulic supply center.
